Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, OD (née Fraser, born 27 December 1986) is a Jamaican track and field sprinter.
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Fraser-Pryce ascended to prominence in 2008 when at 21 years old, the relatively unknown athlete became the first Caribbean woman to win 100m gold at the Olympics.

Born: 27 December 1986, Kingston, Jamaica.
Who broke the 10 second 100m?
Bob Hayes
Relive the historic moment the USA's Jim Hines broke the 10 second barrier in the men's 100m event at the Mexico 1968 Olympic Games. When he watched Bob Hayes' stellar performance at the Tokyo 1964 Games, Jim Hines got inspired to repeat his idol's feat four years later, at the Mexico Games.

  1. Kia ora Bronson,

Good morning! How are you doing?
My name is Olive and I’m one of the bloggers for The Summer Learning program. I’m so excited to see what you and your classmates will get up to!

Well done on completing the activity! Great effort with your layout! I really like the gif you included, it’s quite funny! Just remember to link your images in your blog posts. It’s really important that your readers can see where the artwork has come from. You write some truly lovely things about Shelly-Ann and you should be super proud of yourself! Other than that, ka pai on starting The Summer Learning Journey!

Thank you again for your lovely posts.

We’re looking forward to seeing more of your posts from the 16th December (Next week). There’s lots of points at stake and some great prizes to win!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive
